The Exercise Enhancement Principle – How to transform your entire life though exercise

    The Exercise Enhancement Principle
How to transform your entire life though exercise
    By David Grisaffi
    http://www.lifetosuccess-recommends.com/firmabs.html

As I strolled down the foggy Tacoma waterfront with Jim, a long-time personal training client of mine, we began to chat about how important exercise has been to him and how much exercise has transformed his entire life – not just his body and his health, but also his career, relationships, self esteem, attitude and everything else.

You see, before coming to me for help, Jim was 60 pounds over weight, he had dangerously high cholesterol and was having breathing problems that were seriously affecting his quality of life.

Jim recalled to me how he used to sit at his desk at work all morning long, unfocused and unproductive, dreaming of nothing but lunch break, and then all afternoon, thinking of nothing but the 5:00 bell and then a big dinner! He did his job well, but not up to his own standards. He knew he could do better.

He knew he could do better physically too. When we began slowly with a simple walking program, Jim blossomed quickly. His enthusiasm skyrocketed and he went almost over night from a couch potato to an “exercise machine” and as a result, his whole life changed.

That is what I call “Exercise Enhancement.” Jim didn’t just want a better body, he wanted a better life… and with just a little guidance from me, adding exercise was the single catalyst that sparked a whole-life transformation.

Jim was probably a lot like you. He had the number one excuse for not starting an exercise program… “I don’t have time.” I told him, “There are lots of people who have s full time job, have to get children to school or practice and still have time to exercise – I’m one of them! You just have to make it a priority, put it on your schedule and make it happen.” I continued, “You find time to watch wheel of fortune don’t you?” So get on your treadmill (we bought one for him) and walk while you watch!”

As we continued to saunter down the waterfront, it was your typical wet, drizzly, cloudy North-Pacific day, but that day was as bright as ever for Jim. Looking back on all the changes that had happened in his life, we started talking about why more people don’t exercise and why everybody who doesn’t needs to start today!

Weight loss is number one on most people’s lists! You have to do some form of exercise to lose body fat. It’s a no brainer. Reduce your calorie intake a little bit in combination with the exercise, and POOF! Say goodbye to body fat.

Fitness is number two on most people’s list. Jim mentioned how he was having serious trouble breathing and he knew he had to do something about it. For some people the moment of realization happens when they have to climb several flights of stairs for the first time in months or years, and they find themselves gasping for air when they finally make it to the top.

Remember something. Fitness is not achieved through dieting. Fitness is achieved by exercising and moving your body. Being physically fit extends your life, reduces heart disease and cancer, increases your brain function and the list of benefits could go on for pages!

The idea of doing something you know will make you feel better is a challenge to some. Some seem intimidated by it, while others thrive on the challenge. If you find yourself procrastinating, or if you are intimidated by the whole exercise thing. Remember that success and achievement are like a big boulder. Overcome the inertia and set that thing rolling and very soon it’s so hard to stop. Accept the challenge, yourself thrive on getting in better shape by setting goals and achieving them. Trust me, if Jim and dozens of my clients can do it, then so can you.

The psychological improvements that can happen to you by starting even the simplest exercise program are still astonishing to me. I watch my clients lose some weight, and immediately I see their self esteem shoot up and I observe them start to feel good about their bodies for the first time ever. I notice them coming into the gym in tank tops confidently, smiling, when they used to stay covered up in baggy clothing. Soon, they begin to blossom mentally and emotionally. Yes, even spiritually. Exercise is good for the soul!

So I say, lets get to work, shall we? Don’t you want to feel better physically as well as emotionally? Imagine putting on any swimsuit you want – even a skimpy one -and going out to a crowded beach or pool and feeling better about your body than you ever have before. Not only can it happen, it will happen, but only if you get moving!

I’m not sure if you’ve ever felt depressed before. Most of us have, but I’m almost certain that your mood has felt a little “down” at times. Did you know how dramatically your mood can improve after an exercises session? Before the workout you may find your “down” mood causing you to think, ‘I don’t feel like exercising.’ But if you get moving in spite of that, you can feel like a new person afterwards.

As my mentor Paul Chek says, “Exercise should be your drug of choice!” But it’s not just the physical benefits – the endorphins and “good mood” chemicals you stirred up – it’s also the fact that you took action, and every time you take action, your self esteem rises and so does your mood right along with it. Emotion follows motion. Remember that.

Even better, exercises reduces stress! Who doesn’t feel at least a little stressed these days? The exact same thing is true about exercise for reducing stress as it is for changing your mood. So I say again – get moving! Get to work and see how it changes not just the way you look, but the way you feel – and see how fast it happens!

Now you’re in tune with how exercise can be a beneficial addition to your lifestyle, so let’s get you started with some specific guidelines!

David Grisaffi’s Guidelines for “Exercise Enhancement”:

” Get out there and do it – right now – even if you don’t feel like it. Overcome inertia and get that ball rolling now!

” When you “don’t feel like exercising,” remind yourself that exercise is what will make you feel better!

” Do not think of exercise as painful ordeal like the dentist, think of it as relaxation and de-stressing time.

” Not sure how to start? Try combining 20 minutes of strength training two or three times per week with three one hour sessions of unstress-full aerobics like walking and you are on your way!

” Set goals and write them down. I make all my clients sign an exercise contract and tell them to post a copy wherever they will see it often and get motivated by it, like in the car, on the refrigerator, on the mirror etc.

There’s one last thing I want to share with you and warn you about. I call it, “The Fearless HUMP!” This is the bump in the road that everyone hits at some stage in their journey and most people find difficult to pass. It’s when you find a little excuse to waiver from your routine and you turn it into something bigger than it really is. If you’re not careful, that’s when the “boulder” may start rolling in the opposite direction. What do you do? There’s no trick to it – tough it out, be fearless and get over the hump! You must be consistent to make exercise a habit and stick with it!

Get going! Find an environment that nurtures your goals. Find a workout partner near your age, ability and motivational level. If you like to workout on your own, great! Just find whatever special surroundings that will help in your quest for better health. Most important, remember that exercise is a life long journey that will not just improve your health and your body, it will have a ripple effect and enhance every single part of your life… that’s the “Exercise enhancement principle!”

Are You Being Cheap or Are You Managing Your Money Well?

Are You Being Cheap or Are You Managing Your Money Well? by Tony Mase

© Tony Mase – All Rights Reserved
    http://www.lifetosuccess-recommends.com/tppc10.html

Not long ago, in response to my article “Why You Should
Always Buy the Best”, I received a question from one of my
“Constructive Science” blog subscribers that went something
like this (I’ve edited out the personal details):

“Hi, Tony. Thank you so much for your website. I’ve been a
subscriber now for awhile and I appreciate your work and
your rediscovery of Wallace D. Wattles. What a brilliant,
insightful man whose time has come!”

“Here’s a question I’ve been struggling with since reading
your excerpts of Wallace D. Wattles’ article.”

“I like to buy good clothing. It’s not cheap, but I like to
buy on sale. The more on sale an item is, the better I like
them. In fact, two dresses are on sale, I can buy two good
dresses instead of one expensive one.”

“Does that qualify as being cheap?”

“I just have a hard time buying things at regular price when
in a few weeks it will be on sale (which is the price it
should’ve been in the first place, in my opinion).”

“Anyway, that’s my question. I’m looking forward to your
answer and any advice you can offer.”

    Excellent question. :-)

    Here’s my answer…

Although there’s sometimes a *very* fine line between the
two, there’s a distinct difference between “being cheap” and
managing your money well and it’s *vitally* important for
you to know and understand the difference between the two.

Let’s take a look at a few examples, beginning with the
example above (please keep in mind I don’t know the first
    thing about buying a dress :-) )…

Let’s say you had $100.00 to spend on a dress and found one
you *really* liked for $100.00, but instead decided to buy
one you didn’t like nearly as much (or at all) for $50.00
just to save $50.00, that’s “being cheap”.

    On the other hand…

If you were able to buy that exact same $100.00 dress you
*really* liked on sale for $50.00 and were able to buy two
you *really* liked for the same $100.00, that’s managing
    your money well.

    Here’s another example…

Let’s say you need or want to put gas in your car and on the
way to going somewhere you were going anyway you pass two
gas stations right next to one another.

Gas is $3.00 a gallon at one and $3.10 a gallon at the
    other.

All other factors being equal (the key word here is
*equal*), you’d have to be a total idiot not to buy the
    $3.00 a gallon gas…

    That’s managing your money well.

    On the other hand…

To kill a half an hour of your time driving clear the heck
across town, way out of your way, just to “save” a buck or
    two would be “being cheap”.

    One more example…

Let’s say you do your grocery shopping at one particular
grocery store and you have certain brands you *really* like.

Taking a minute or two to thumb through their weekly
circular checking for any coupons or sales for the items you
*really* like and would buy anyway would be managing your
    money well.

    On the other hand…

Spending four hours combing through the all the circulars
that come with your Sunday newspaper, noting sales and
clipping coupons, and then spending the rest of the day
running all over creation trying to save a few dollars,
buying stuff you don’t even like just because it’s cheap
    is…

    Well…

    “Being cheap”. :-)

What’s wrong with “being cheap”, you ask?

In an article titled “The Constructive Attitude”, the fifth
article in his “Lessons in Constructive Science” series,
Wallace D. Wattles, best known for his classic masterpiece
“The Science of Getting Rich”, said this on the subject:

“… if you wear cheap clothes, eat cheap foods and surround
yourself with cheap things to “save money” you will put
yourself in the mental attitude of cheapness and
inferiority. You will think of yourself in connection with
cheap and inferior things, and so will see yourself as a
cheap and inferior person. The cheap and inferior within you
will be brought to the surface, and you will never do your
best. You will be incapable of exerting your whole power,
and by the law of reaction, cheap and inferior things will
    move toward you.”

    As I said above…

Although there’s sometimes a *very* fine line between the
two, there’s a distinct difference between “being cheap” and
managing your money well and it’s *vitally* important for
you to know and understand the difference between the two.

Knowing and understanding this distinct difference and
applying its underlying principle to your life could well
make the difference between your being wealthy and your
    being poor.

Tony Mase is a serious student of the works of Wallace D.
Wattles and the publisher of the “The Personal Power Course:
Ten Lessons in Constructive Science, Teaching You How to Use
Your Own Subconscious Energies for Health, Prosperity and

What A “Muscle Head” Says About Organic Food

What A “Muscle Head” Says About Organic Food
    By Tom Venuto, Natural Bodybuilder
    www.burnthefat.com

Last week I was talking about nutrition with one of my workout buddies and when I mentioned grass fed beef and “organic food” he asked, “Do you mean like what you get at Whole Foods Market?”

I said, “Yes, exactly… that’s a natural food and organic supermarket.” He said, “Yeah well, that place costs so much, I call it Whole Paycheck!”

I was rolling on the floor laughing, but the truth is, organic food really is expensive and so is grass fed beef and free range chicken, so it’s a valid question to ask, “Is it worth it?”

After researching the subject and doing some personal experiments with my own diet, let me offer you my take on it from a bodybuilder’s viewpoint. This is a perspective on organics you may not have heard before.

First, look at it this way – if you put the cheapest fuel in your luxury car, how well is it going to run and how many miles are you going to get out of it?

While I’m on car analogies, health and fitness author and educator Paul Chek once wrote about how ridiculous it is to watch how many $75,000 + cars pull up to the Mcdonald’s or Burger King drive through window to buy $1.99 hamburgers.

I would say that’s a serious case of screwed up priorities, wouldn’t you? The driver has no problem shelling out the $1,100 monthly car payment, but it’s too much to ask him to put premium fuel into his own “bodily vehicle.”

How can you put ANY price tag on your body and your health? You can buy another car, but you’ve only got one body.

Now, as for the grass fed beef and organic foods question….

For best results in body composition improvement, which I define as burning fat and or building muscle, (and I’ll even go as far as to say for optimal health as well), I am a believer in including animal proteins, including lean meats.

I have no wish to take up the vegetarian debate in this article. I respect vegetarians and acknowledge that a healthy and lean body can be developed with a vegetarian diet if it is done properly, although it may be more challenging for strict vegans to gain muscle for various reasons.

However, in recommending animal protein as part of a healthy fat loss and muscle building nutrition program, I do agree that we all need to give some serious thought to what is in our meat (and in the rest of our food).

Some people say that meat is part of our “evolutionary” diet and it’s the way we were intended to eat and I wouldn’t argue with that. But is the meat we’re eating in today’s modern society the same as what was hunted and eaten many thousands of years ago by our cave-man ancestors, or has some “toxic stuff” found its way into our beef, poultry and fish that wasn’t there before?

I also think we should consider what is *missing* from our commercially grown food, that is supposed to be in there, that probably used to be there in the past, but may not be today.

A lot of people are not paying any attention to this… even people who should know better. I admit it – I was oblivious to this for a long time myself. Here’s why:

I am not your typical “health and wellness” or “weight loss” expert. I am also competitive bodybuilder. We bodybuilders are well known for eating very clean diets with lots of lean protein and natural carbs, as well as for looking like “the picture of health” with our ripped abs and impressive muscularity.

We eat our oatmeal and egg whites for breakfast, and proudly walk around with our chicken breast, rice and broccoli or our flank steak, yams and asparagus, and boast about how perfect and clean our meals are and how our diets are already “clean” and could not be improved.

But how many bodybuilders or fitness enthusiasts are there – even serious, dedicated and educated ones – who don’t give a single thought to the poisonous chemicals that might be lurking in our supposedly “clean” food?

The Food and Drug Administration lists more than 3,000 chemicals that can be added to our food supply. One billion pounds of pesticides and farming chemicals are used on our crops every year.

Depending on what source you quote, the average American consumes as much as 150 pounds of chemicals and food additives per year.

Does ANYBODY out there think that this is good for you?

    Didn’t think so.

If you had a way to avoid all these chemicals and toxins, would you at least explore it, even if it cost a little more?

Although this topic is controversial and hotly debated, organic food is gaining in popularity and seems to fit this bill.

Food grown on certified organic farms does not contain:

    Pesticides
    Herbicides
    Fungicides
    Hormones
    Antibiotics
    Chemical fertilizers

    It is also not:

    Irradiated
    Genetically modified
Beyond the “certified organic” label, grass fed beef and free range chicken (and eggs), have other advantages.
Not only can there be tons of antibiotics, hormones, and other chemicals in our meat, but also commercially raised beef is fed grain or corn and yet that is not what the animals were meant to eat.

The result – aside from sick, drugged animals – is a higher overall fat, higher saturated fat and a screwed up ratio of omega three to omega six fats, which is a very big problem today – even when you think you’re eating “clean.” Most people accept the idea that “you are what you eat,” but they forget that the animals we eat are what they ate!

Last but not least, proponents of organic food suggest that the vitamin, mineral and phytonutrient content of commercially grown foods can be anywhere from a little bit low to virtually absent.

So… if organic and or grass fed beef and free range chicken can help us avoid some of these problems and dangers, then I’m all for it and the extra investment.

I started eating grass fed beef almost exclusively (except for my occasional restaurant steak), quite a few years ago, and I even mentioned it in my book, Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle (www.burnthefat.com).

I can’t say I eat entirely organic. I eat a lot of it, but not 100%. If I’m eating an apple or some blueberries, and it doesn’t happen to be organic, I don’t freak out over it. When you really study deeply into the subject of food processing, industrial pollution and commercial farming, it can almost scare you half to death, but I don’t recommend getting “alarmist” about it.

Sometimes it’s the people who live in fear of a disease who are most likely to get it. I for one, am not going to live in a plastic bubble to isolate myself from a “toxic world”… oh, wait… make that a ceramic bubble, plastics are really bad for you.

All joking aside, the fear of toxins can be taken to the point where the fear itself is unhealthy, but the more I study this subject – from a variety of sources and perspectives – the more the organic argument does make sense to me.

I’ve built my career in fitness based on being a natural bodybuilder, which means no steroids or performance enhancing drugs, so why would I expose myself to other chemicals if I can avoid them?

Honestly, I can’t say I noticed any dramatic change in my physique or in the way I feel – at least not yet. I have always eaten clean and I was a successful bodybuilder for many years before I started eating more organic food and grass fed beef.

However, I feel confident about my decision to spend the extra money on grass fed beef, free range chicken (and eggs), and an increasing amount of organic food, knowing that I am avoiding toxins and getting more of the nutritional value I need to support my training and my health long term.

I’m certain this is the type of nutritional lifestyle change that can accrue benefits over time, even if you don’t see an immediate “transformation.”

One thing I would suggest before you run out for organic fruits and vegetables or grass fed beef and so on, is to consider what kind of shape your diet and your lifestyle are in right now. If your diet is currently such a total mess that you’re drinking a lot of alcohol, smoking, abusing coffee and stimulants, not even eating ANY fruits and vegetables to begin with…

And if your idea of lean protein is the processed lunch meat you get in your foot long sub at the local deli, then I think it might be a little moot to worry about whether your fruits and veggies are 100% certified organic or whether your beef is grass fed. Just start cleaning up your diet and establishing new healthy habits, one step at a time. Focus on nutrition and lifestyle improvement, not perfection.

There are some very strong opinions on this subject. I am aware of that, and I’m not going to stand up on a pulpit and preach either way. What I have done here is simply share what I have found from my own research and what I decided to do in my own personal health and bodybuilding regimen.

My advice to everyone else is to become educated about what is really in your food, including how it is raised or grown, and to continuously seek ways to improve your nutrition above the level it’s at now.

    The Truth About Lying

Some people can’t tell a lie, others can’t tell the truth and unfortunately, most people can’t tell the difference. Can you tell when someone is pulling the wool over your eyes? Whether you’re an attorney selecting a jury, a manager interviewing a new agent or a salesperson making a presentation, your ability to quickly and accurately discern the truth greatly enhances your effectiveness. Fortunately, having the ability to sort fact from fiction is an important communication skill that can be learned.Aside from con men, compulsive liars and some politicians, most people become uncomfortable when telling a lie and transmit their deceitful behavior through their body language. While they may sound convincing, their gestures speak louder than their words. Consequently, they reveal their deceit nonverbally. While it’s not always easy to spot deceptive behavior, there are many subtle yet discernable clues to the trained eye.

Body language is a mixture of movement, posture and tone of voice. Studies show that nonverbal communication has a much greater impact and reliability than the spoken word. Therefore, if a person’s words are incongruent with his or her body language gestures, you would be wise to rely on the body language as a more accurate reflection of their true feelings. During the selling process it’s important to remember that body language is not a one-way street. While you’re evaluating your prospect’s body language for signs of honesty and credibility, he or she is subconsciously observing and reacting to your gestures as well.

Some People Can’t Handle the Truth
The truth sometimes hurts and few business or personal relationships could survive the harsh reality of total honesty. While honesty is certainly the best policy, the truth is, that in our day-to-day encounters, it’s not always diplomatic or socially acceptable to be completely honest. To spare the feelings of others, we have learned the usefulness of telling half-truths, fibs and white lies.

During the selling process, some people have difficulty saying no and will actually tell you that they are interested in order to avoid potential conflict. As the pressure of making a decision builds, prospects will frequently use half-truths or lies to either stall or disengage from the selling sequence. While their words say yes, their body language indicates no. By being able to recognize the inconsistency between your prospect’s words and his or her gestures, it is often possible to flush out their concerns, overcome their objections and make the sale.

See No Evil – Hear No Evil – Speak No Evil
Eye, nose and mouth movement, along with hand gestures, are the four major nonverbal cues typically associated with lying. The statue of the Three Wise Monkeys accurately depicts the primary hand-to-face gestures associated with deceit. When a person is doubtful or lying, they’ll often use their fingers to block their mouth as if they were filtering their words. This hand- to-mouth gesture is commonly referred to as speak no evil. The second hand gesture associated with deceit is called see no evil, and it occurs when a person rubs or touches his or her eye(s). The third hand gesture hear no evil is displayed when a person covers or drills a finger into his or her ear(s).

If people use one of these gestures while they’re talking, it indicates that they are being deceitful. On the other hand, if they are displaying one of these gestures while someone else is talking it indicates that they doubt the truthfulness of what is being said. These three gestures should be considered red flags. When you encounter one of these gestures during your presentation, it is a good idea to gently probe the subject matter with open-ended questions to encourage your prospect to voice his or her concern.

In addition to the three hand-to-face gestures, eye movement is another reliable indication of deceit. It’s normal for a person to look up to his or her left when thinking about the past and up to the right when thinking about the future. If you ask a person a question from his or her past and they look up to their right, they’re making up a response. Law enforcement personnel and customs agents are trained to routinely monitor eye movement during interviews.

    Micro Gestures
According to Paul Ekman, professor of psychology at the University of California, San Francisco, two of the most common micro gestures that are associated with deceit are the nose wrinkle and the mouth curl. The nose wrinkle is the same gesture that occurs naturally when you smell something offensive. The other facial micro gesture is a slight downward curl of the corners of the mouth. Even liars who make a conscious effort to suppress all of their major body gestures, will still transmit micro gestures. People sometimes lie, but their body language always tells the truth!

Is Your Current Job a Dead End or a Stepping Stone?

Is Your Current Job a Dead End or a Stepping Stone?

    - by Tony Mase

In response to my recent article “Are You Missing
Something?”, one of my newsletter subscribers left a comment
on my blog that went that went something like this (I’ve
    edited out the personal details):

“Regarding your piece ‘Are You Missing Something’, would you
like to give your readers some ideas of what businesses give
other people more in use value than you receive in cash
    value?”

“The bulk of people reading your articles are probably
reading all the creating your own reality stuff as well and
are probably in big corporations or dead end jobs.”

“Your statement makes it sound very simple but hey, tell us
more, what sort of business did Wallace D. Wattles have in
    mind here?”

“I actually agree that the intention is that you can not
meditate money into your life, I am happy to put some effort
in but I will not achieve it in the big corporation I work
    for!!”

    Hmmm…

“… I will not achieve it in the big corporation I work
    for!!”

    Pray tell…

    Who made that decision?

The truth of the matter is that’s *exactly* where you’ll
achieve it – in the “big corporation” you work for right
    now!

    You see…

The concept of giving more in use value than you receive in
cash value can be applied to any business or profession.

    And…

The absolute best business or profession to begin applying
it to is the one you’re in right now.

People frequently tell me (and I hear this one a lot) that
they’re working for a “big corporation” and/or are in a
“dead end job” and although they’re not putting their “all”
into it right now (in other words, they’re doing just enough
to not get fired), when they get a “better job” (whatever
that is) or into their own business “someday” they’ll give
    it everything they’ve got.

    Well…

    Guess what?

    Ain’t gonna happen.

    And…

    If by chance it does…

    It won’t last.

    Why?

The Universe just doesn’t work that way.

    Here’s the deal…

*Only* when you make constructive use of what you *already*
have will the Universe see fit to give you more.

*Only* when you make constructive use of the job you
*already* have will the Universe see fit to advance you.

If there’s a “secret” out there this is it.

In order to get what you want, you *must* make constructive
use of what you *already* have.

    For example…

Let’s say you’re currently employed by a big fast food chain
flipping hamburgers (or whatever it is they do nowadays :-) )
at a local outlet for $10.00 an hour…

    And…

You don’t want to be doing that for the rest of your life.

Maybe you want to move up into management…

Maybe you want to get into a different profession…

Maybe you want your own business…

Maybe you want to own your own restaurant…

Maybe you’re not quite sure exactly what you want…

Only that you want more than what you have right now.

You begin by making constructive use of the job you already
    have right now.

    Starting today…

Put everything you’ve got into everything you do…

Strive to become the best hamburger flipper that’s ever
walked the face of the earth…

Give your *present* customer (your employer) more, far more,
in use value than you receive from them in cash value.

Instead of trying to skate by giving them $5.00, $8.00, or
$10.00 worth of value for the $10.00 an hour you’re getting
paid hoping you don’t fired or laid off…

    Give them $20.00, $30.00, $40.00, $50.00, $100.00 worth of
value for the $10.00 an hour you’re getting paid…

With the *intention* of getting what *you* want and the
*faith* that you’ll get what you want.

    Then…

    And only then…

Will the Universe begin to move that which you want towards
you and present you with the opportunity or opportunities
    necessary to receive it.

The necessary opportunity or opportunities may not (and most
likely won’t) come from your present employer…

    However…

Know that the necessary opportunity or opportunities will
    come…

    That’s the way it works.

In his book “The Personal Power Course”, Wallace D. Wattles,
best known for his classic masterpiece “The Science of
    Getting Rich”, wrote:

“The essential point to remember is that you must reach what
you want by ACTING; by doing things. And today, you can only
act where you are, and on the things that are within reach.
Do not waste anytime straining after the things that are out
of reach, or longing for the things which belong to the
future; ACT, today on the people and things within reach
today, but act ALWAYS with your mind set on GETTING WHAT YOU
WANT. Act in the full faith – the positive knowledge – that
you WILL get what you want; make every act a positive act,
and an act of faith. Do not sit down and try to ATTRACT the
thing you want to you; but begin to move toward the thing
you want, and you will find it coming to meet you. Action
and reaction are equal; and the person who steadily and
purposefully moves forward with one thing in view becomes a
center toward which the thing he seeks is drawn with
    irresistible power…”

Therein lies the *real* “secret”! :-)
